HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for administering a wide range of human resources functions including recruitment, benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee relations in a bilingual environment. This role supports both English- and Spanish-speaking employees, ensuring clear communication and equitable access to HR services across the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and demonstrate cultural sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism.

Duties and responsibilities include administering HR policies and procedures for all personnel; managing records and reporting for benefits, payroll, and insurance programs; assisting employees with enrollment and claims; overseeing compensation and performance evaluation programs; ensuring timely and culturally appropriate communication of feedback; administering employee benefits including claims resolution, invoice approvals, and employee education on benefit options; maintaining compliance with EEO, affirmative action, and other federal / state regulations; preparing and submitting required reports; assisting in recruitment efforts for all levels of staff; conducting interviews, onboarding, and orientation sessions; providing employee relations support including counseling, conflict resolution, and exit interviews; participating in HR and cross-functional meetings; maintaining organizational charts and employee directories; evaluating HR processes and recommending improvements; maintaining accurate HRIS records and generating reports; ensuring compliance with all employment laws and company policies; administering 401(k) plans; participating in Layered Process Audits and internal ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 audits; supporting internal and external audits related to ISO, VDA 6.3, and customer standards; and performing other duties as assigned.

Education and experience requirements include a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and 35 years of HR experience, or a master's degree and 2 years of HR experience, or 7 years of progressive HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include English / Spanish bilingual preferred, strong knowledge of HR laws and practices, especially in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, comfort working in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
