Manager Of Fp&A

Dave & Buster's / Main Event is seeking a highly skilled and motivated manager of FP&A to join our corporate FP&A team reporting into our Sr Manager of FP&A. As a manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts, helping Dave & Buster's make informed financial decisions, and driving business growth. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing P&Ls and providing valuable insights to senior management. This role will have great visibility with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of the company's financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Be sole finance support for I.T. for all aspects of spend (G&A, OPEX, Capital, etc.)
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate various scenarios
  • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Create visually appealing dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by senior management.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities
  • Assist with 3-statement model (CF, BS, P&L) including forecasting and budgeting
  • Analyze expense trends to optimize OPEX forecasting and provide recommendations to reduce costs
  • Assist Cost Control Committee with ad hoc analysis requests regarding cost savings measures across various departments and aspects of the business

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (master's degree or CFA / CPA certification is a plus).
  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
  • Knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial planning software EPM (Oracle, and Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various departments.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Experience with multi-unit (restaurant, retail) would be a plus.
  • 1-3 years' experience of IT Finance
