Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Carlsbad, NM 88220 (Southeastern New Mexico) Position : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Setting : General Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 15 / 2025 – End : 12 / 15 / 2025) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Scrub Color : Any color EMR : MedHost Floating & Call : Required Blocked Scheduling : May be accommodated (please specify in application) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,570 - $1,680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and unencumbered RN license (New Mexico or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience Current ACLS and BLS certifications (PALS preferred) Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management Float to other units and participate in on-call rotation as required Experience the warmth of Carlsbad’s community and the breathtaking landscapes of southeastern New Mexico while advancing your travel nursing career.
