Position Summary
Come help create BoujieMana, a brand-new restaurant located in central San Diego! Sitting amongst apartments and office buildings, we will serve both the public, and provide support to TCWGlobal by preparing meals (basic catering style) 3 times a week for 125+ employees. BoujieMana has it all—a full bar, VIP room, indoor and outdoor seating, and a training / event center with a capacity of 120 people. There is abundant nighttime and weekend parking, and while space is limited during office hours, there is still plenty of street parking. The price point will be on the higher end with the restaurant’s commitment to utilizing quality ingredients and maintaining a curated menu for all three meals of the day.
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic Bartender with excellent communication skills to prepare and serve high quality beverages for our guests. This individual’s service will prove to be timely, accurate, and friendly. The bartender will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, and recommend menu items. They will ensure the utilization of proper equipment and ingredients, as well as handle basic stocking and cleaning duties. To succeed as a bartender, you should have an engaging, friendly personality; be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Each bartender’s primary objective is to show our guests a marvelous time, enticing them to return to BoujieMana time and time again.

Key Responsibilities
Primary :
Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of BoujieManaPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipesAccept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if necessaryCheck identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholPresent drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beveragesTake food and beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests seated at the barMix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinksServe snacks or food items to guests seated at the barRecord drink orders into the register system accurately and immediately after having receivedBalance cash receipts.Recognize and learn the names of regular guestsAttempt to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis / other transportation for intoxicated guestsClean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and other bar equipmentStock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and additional related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or strawsClean and reset bars, work areas, and tablesSlice and pit fruit and prepare other garnishes for drinksArrange, display, and maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areasReport all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the assistant managerAttend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvementCoordinate with, and assist, fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurantFill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operationsSupplemental :
