The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and specification of electrical and controls systems for assigned projects. This includes designing power distribution systems, controls integration, and supporting project teams with accurate drawings, specifications, and documentation. This role requires strong experience in large facility electrical design, including heavy power draw systems, main power runs, and integration of industrial equipment into plant infrastructure. The Electrical Engineer works closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, and SMEs to ensure projects are designed for safety, reliability, and compliance.
Essential Functions
Engineer and design 480VAC power distribution systems and large facility power runs for industrial blasting and coating projects.
Develop electrical and controls specifications for assigned projects.
Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, and documentation in AutoCAD.
Support design / build project teams by integrating electrical systems into overall facility and equipment layouts.
Assist in preparing and updating Bills of Material for electrical and control components.
Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Listen to company SMEs and take their advice into the design
Support Project Managers and Executives in developing accurate budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for electrical scope.
Travel to project sites as required to support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
