St. Joseph Living Center : Our Mission

Saint Joseph Living Center (SJLC) was established in 1988 and is situated on 9 scenic acres in Windham, CT. Sponsored by the Diocese of Norwich, our facility offers short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and end-of-life care. We are a Catholic faith-based community, but we welcome residents of all religious backgrounds. Our suburban setting provides privacy, relaxation, and accessibility, with ample parking. The center features both indoor and outdoor amenities, including a beautiful chapel with daily mass at 11 : 00 am, an enclosed courtyard with gardens, and a Koi Pond

What does a CNA do?

As a new CNA at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, you can expect each day to be dynamic and fulfilling. Your role will involve providing essential care to our elderly residents, assisting with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Depending on the shift assigned, whether it's 7a-3p, 3p-11p, or 11p-7a, you will play a crucial part in their daily routine and well-being.

Your schedule will be structured to maintain the highest standard of care while allowing for flexibility and teamwork within the facility. At St Joes, you will work alongside a supportive team dedicated to excellence in healthcare, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

What we're looking for in a CNA

To excel in the role of a CNA at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, certain skills and qualifications are essential. Candidates must possess a valid CT CNA license or CNA Certificate, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to providing quality care to our residents.

Additionally, excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong attention to detail are crucial for success in this position. As part of the healthcare team, CNAs at St Joes must be proficient in using various tools and technologies to assist residents effectively. Adapting to new software and equipment will be necessary to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of care within the facility.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
