Job Title : Environmental Services Tech

Location : Must be local to Asheville, NC

Pay Rate : $15 / hour

Shift : 12 : 00 PM - 8 : 30 PM | Alternating Weekends

Overview

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking an Environmental Services Technician . The Environmental Services Tech performs cleaning and environmental service duties that promote a safe, sanitary, and visually pleasing environment -contributing positively to the healing process. The ideal candidate will carry out these duties courteously and professionally, supporting the goals and needs of patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

Follow hospital and department policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.

Dust and disinfect furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures.

Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures as needed.

Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and refinish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.

Replace curtains and drapes as needed.

Restock paper and cleaning supplies in restrooms and other areas.

Safely collect, transport, and dispose of waste, including recyclable materials.

Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment, reporting any repairs as needed.

Use cleaning supplies and chemicals safely and correctly according to instructions.

Maintain accurate cleaning records and communicate any areas needing additional care.

Attend required trainings and maintain knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards.

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and hospital safety protocols.

Qualifications

Required Education :

Must be able to read and write at an 8th-grade level

Preferred Education :

High School Diploma

Required Experience :

None

Preferred Experience :

1 year of previous healthcare housekeeping experience

Licenses / Certifications :

None required

OSHA Category :

Potential for exposure to blood or body fluids
