Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of RCIS experience and current RCIS, ACLS, and BLS certifications for a cardiac cath lab assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a cardiac cath lab within an acute care setting
  • Perform procedures including cardiac catheterization, peripheral catheterization, VNUS closure, and occasional IR cases
  • The lab consists of 1 main lab and 1 procedure room
  • Uses XIM software, x-ray equipment, and Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred)
  • Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM
  • Daily call coverage required until 5 : 00 PM, with call team composed of 2 RNs and 1 Technologist
  • No weekends or holiday shifts required
  • No floating to other departments
  • Duties include assisting with cardiac and peripheral catheterizations, VNUS closure, and interventional radiology procedures
  • All candidates will receive a structured orientation with a preceptor and procedural sign-off
  • Team consists of both nurses and technologists with supportive training provided
  • Scrubs provided in ceil blue color
  • Candidates with prior employment at the health system must have a minimum 6-month gap before consideration
  • Applicants with a permanent address within 80 miles are eligible with a pay adjustment

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year RCIS technologist experience scrubbing in cardiac cath procedures
  • Active RCIS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
  • Ability to independently scrub cases and perform required procedures
  • Familiarity with XIM software, x-ray systems, and Epic EMR
  • License required if applicable
