At Michigan Medicine, the Instrument Processors play a vital role while working within industry standards (UMHS / AORN / AAMI) to reliably decontaminate, prepare and provide sterile instruments and medical devices. Duties :
Additional details : This facility is open 24 hours, the location for this position will be at the East Ann Arbor Surgery Center. The shift will be 10pm-6 : 30am, Monday-Friday. This position will be a pay grade 6 / 7 for the Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD).
Additional notes : This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the AFSCME union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
