We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Dentist to join our team and provide essential dental care services to children within school settings. This position involves working in a mobile dental clinic, delivering preventive and restorative dental services to students in underserved communities.
This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and / or Medically Underserved Areas / Populations (MUA / P) Shortage Designation Type
Responsibilities :
Perform dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other necessary dental procedures for school-aged children.
Educate students and school staff on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care practices.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans for students requiring ongoing dental care and coordinate with parents or guardians for follow-up appointments.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the mobile dental clinic, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and local health organizations to promote oral health education and awareness within the community. Able to attend community events outside of normal working hours on an as-needed basis
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of services provided, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality dental care services in accordance with professional standards and guidelines.
