Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

24 bed unit\nBLS, PALS required\nACLS preferred\n2 years of experience required (must have 2 years of PICU experience at a Level l Trauma Center)\nFirst time travelers NOT accepted (unless they have 3+ years of experience at a Level l Trauma Center - PICU)\nAll staff, including travelers, may be required to be a Rover nurse / task nurse on any inpatient unit. This includes NICU, Labor and Delivery and adult acute care.\nRovers perform tasks such as : \n

Turns, repositioning\n

Bathing\n

Assistance with patient transport\n

Ambulation\n

Meal assistance\n

Medication administration (within individual comfort zone and training)\n\nThis is a mixed-acuity unit - Ratios are 1 : 2 for PICU, 1 : 3 for PCU, 1 : 4 Acute - PICU RNs are expected to work across acuity spectrum\n\nAll RDOs must be stipulated in their contracts. If not in their contract, they will be responsible for working with core staff to trade if they are scheduled on a day they want off.\n\nScheduling period is 4 weeks; Week runs Monday through Sunday.
