Do you believe every child deserves a safe, fun, and supportive place to grow outside of the classroom? As an Out of School Time (OST) Site Support Specialist for South Washington County Schools, you’ll help create those experiences every day. In this role, you’ll work directly with elementary students to build positive relationships, encourage learning through play, and ensure every child feels included and valued. You’ll also support and guide site staff, helping them create welcoming environments where kids can thrive. From after-school programs to summer camps, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students and families across the district.

Your Role Will Include :

  • Oversee and support a cluster of elementary OST programs, including School Year, Non-School Day, and Summer.
  • Provide daily support to Kids Club Supervisors, including mentoring, coaching, and direct student engagement when needed.
  • Serve as inclusion support under the guidance of the Inclusion Coordinator; assist staff with behavior strategies, accommodations, and family communication.
  • Ensure compliance with district and state safety standards, including drills, student health plans, medication distribution, and record keeping.
  • Support collaboration between school staff, facilities, and OST teams to strengthen programming, participation, and alignment with school goals.
  • Monitor staffing, ratios, payroll, and site budgets; assist with registration and parent communications.
  • Lead staff orientation, training, and professional development while maintaining personal annual training requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Special Education, Social Work, or related field; or 3–5 years leadership experience in School Age Care (or equivalent).
  • At least 1,040 hours of experience in education, recreation, or child care settings.
  • 40 hours of relevant training in child development, guidance, human relations, or program leadership.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • CPR / First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days).
  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance.
  • Salary and Benefits :

  • $62,324 – $67,467 depending on experience.
  • Paid vacation (Three weeks)  and holidays.

  • Location & Shift Times :

  • District Wide. Full-time, year-round position.
  • Flexible hours based on program and site needs.
  • Required availability to open (6 : 15 a.m.) and / or close (6 : 00 p.m.) OST programs.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
