Job Description

The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Information Technology (IT) Manager will be responsible for providing Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) IT services for five enterprise networks and to customers located worldwide. The incumbent will manage teams responsible for administration, maintenance and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.

This position requires managerial experience as well as a strong technical background working with Windows and Red Hat operating systems, VMware hypervisors, and experience with cybersecurity and patching tools such as HBSS, ACAS, Tanium, SCCM, Satellite, etc. The role involves regular interfaces with senior and mid-level military personnel, government and contractor event ops personnel, and engineering staff. The candidate will lead and train junior personnel and supervise IT operations efforts.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical and scope requirements. Keeps current on advances in the IT field. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Adheres to all IT governance policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor's degree in related field or
• 4 years relevant progressive experience with Master's degree in related field or
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret security clearance
• Security+ or equivalent certification

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above floor level.
