Overview

EMIT Imaging is seeking a versatile and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and a builder at heart, with a track record of effectiveness across multiple engineering disciplines. When not actively working on production or inventory systems, you will be testing new innovations and managing their integration into the Xerra system.

Xerra, our flagship CFT Imaging System, incorporates 7 motors for linear and rotary actuation, refrigeration, optical control and laser light illumination sub-systems, among others. We are looking for a generalist who enjoys production support for customers, rather than an expert in any single field.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Xerra and its sub-assemblies from over 600 components
• Manage the supply chain and vendor relationships
• Create and refine technical documentation, models, renderings, and assembly documentation using SolidWorks CAD software
• Assist in the development of new product designs and solutions using SolidWorks CAD software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full product development cycle
• Conduct analysis, research, and testing to optimize designs and solve complex engineering challenges
• Fabricate prototypes and test fixtures as needed

This position may require standing, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods, manipulation of hand and power tools, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
