Job Summary

Responsible for large-scale security assignments providing direction to other team members. Leads analysis of security controls assessments through application security testing, penetration testing, and other means to ensure controls effectiveness. Mentors and provides functional / technical work direction to the team.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Cyber Intelligence & Response Center in preventing, identifying, and responding to cyber threats.
• Analyze cyber threat intelligence for impacts to AEP.
• Conduct cyber threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK and Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain.
• Collaborate with U.S. Government and industry peers on cyber security best practices.
• Coordinate incident response efforts with relevant organizations.
• Perform forensic analysis of host and network events.
• Deliver cyber threat briefings to large audiences.
• Reverse engineer malware.
• Maintain advanced security knowledge and communicate issues to AEP leaders.
• Direct the team in accessing key security data for improved performance.
• Promote workplace diversity and view differences as opportunities.
• Ensure team training and skill development for security innovation.

What We're Looking For

Education

Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration / help desk / security (cyber or physical); or High School Diploma / GED with 4 years relevant experience in IT system administration / help desk / security (cyber or physical).

Experience

7 or more years of Information Technology related experience; or 5 or more years of security related experience, which may include military / government work experience in addition to any experience identified above.

$112,869.00 - $146,730.50 USD
