Anesthesiologist opening with a possible Leadership Opportunity to join a dedicated, patient-focused care team at 52 Medicare-certified bed Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA

Description

Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital is a voluntary nonprofit short-term acute care hospital with 52 Medicare-certified beds. Part of the Riverside Health system, this facility provides a full of services and care to all patients while honoring its deep community roots. With expanding resources and technology, Riverside is dedicated to the healing mission to promote, maintain, and restore health and provide exceptional patient-focused care in a compassionate setting.

Case Assignments

Ophthalmology, G.I., orthopedics, urology, podiatry, general surgery, OB and occasional healthy peds.

Shifts

1 week on, 1 week off schedule; 26 weeks off per year!

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and / or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtain and / or verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

    • Requirements

  • M.D. / D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
