Established in 1971, Redcoat Tavern is a Detroit-area icon with over 100 awards for Michigan's best burger.

Established restaurant looking to hire a dishwasher for  night shifts. Closed holidays, advancement opportunity, health benefits.

The dishwashing department has two distinct areas of responsibility :

  • To wash and distribute dishes, cutlery, utensils and other items back to their appropriate areas.
  • To constantly clean and organize the entire kitchen area.
  • It is imperative that the same hands never touch both dirty and clean dishes and kitchen utensils. Accordingly, there are two separate positions within the dish department.

MAIN DISHWASHER :

  • Brings bus tubs and dirty dishes to the washing area as necessary. Scrubs and washes all dishes, cutlery and utensils, is responsible for seeing that these items are completely clean of stains and debris before going into the dishwashing machine, where they will be sanitized.
  • Maintains the dishwashing machine itself, changing the water as needed and maintaining soap levels.
  • Once these items come out of the clean end of the dishwashing machine, the main dishwasher must not handle them again unless further cleaning is required.
  • The main dishwasher never stacks or touches the clean dishes.

    • SECOND DISHWASHER :

  • Distributes cleaned items to their appropriate stations, taking care to rotate when necessary to give certain items a chance to cool.
  • Constantly cleans and organizes all areas of the kitchen, including the prep kitchen, cooking line, break area and other areas as directed.
  • Maintains kitchen floors, eliminating hazardous greasy or wet spots with a clean mop and degreaser. Various other duties such as salting or cleaning the parking lot.
  • When necessary, breaking down boxes, emptying trash, washing walls or any other cleaning as directed. Restocking soups and sauces in the steam table as requested.
  • The Morning Dishwasher position includes truck and prep.

    • Job Type : Part  Time, Full Time.

    Hourly : $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.
