Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Angels Camp, CA, is seeking a qualified professional to serve as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2025-2026 school year. This in-person, itinerant position supports K-8 students and offers a contract spanning from August 15, 2025, to June 5, 2026, with an approximate workload of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within K-8 classrooms
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Utilize assistive technologies and effective munication strategies to enhance student learning
  • Monitor and report student progress regularly

Desired Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching credential with certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with K-8 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong knowledge of auditory-verbal techniques, American Sign Language (ASL), and related munication methods
  • Ability to work independently and manage itinerant assignments effectively
  • Excellent collaboration and munication skills
  • Location : Angels Camp, California

    Schedule : 20 hours per week, in-person only
