REQUIRED :

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required.

DEPARTMENT : Orthopedic Specialty Clinic

POSITION TITLE : X-Ray Tech

POSITION SUMMARY : Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required.

SKILLS :

EXPERIENCE : Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION :

ENVIRONMENT :

Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
