Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) to join a high-acuity cardiac team in Jersey City, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with strong post-open heart surgery experience and advanced critical care skills.

Unit Details : Standard : 1 : 2

Can flex to 1 : 3 depending on patient acuity

Fresh cardiac surgical patients : 1 : 1

Floating : May float to CCU, CTICU, ICU, or Stepdown

Charting System : Epic

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Required Experience :

Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience

Must have recent experience managing fresh open-heart surgical patients

Experience with the following is required :

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)

Valve Replacement / Repair

TAVR

Impella

Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)

Post-op cardiac patients (from OR and not directly from OR)

Certifications Required :

ACLS

BLS

Stroke CEUs

Cardiovascular : CABG

Valve Replacement / Repair

TAVR

Impella

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump

Post Cardiac Surgery Care

Renal : CVVHD / CRRT

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response :

Interpretation of dysrhythmias
