Position Opening : Construction Administrator
PlanNorth’s Construction Administrator will report directly to the Managing Principal, and will conduct weekly site visits at all PlanNorth projects. The ability to follow strict jobsite protocols and procedures is critical to the success of this position. The most successful applicant will be an energetic, detail-oriented individual with the ability to learn / implement new technologies easily.

Credentials and Qualifications :
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Construction Science, Architecture or Land Development5-7 years experience in Construction Industry, preferably with years spent in the field on jobsites of varying degrees of complexityAdvanced level skills in Construction Industry technologies such as software related to estimating, project management, communication and methodologiesAbilities and Contributions critical to this role include :

The regular use of various software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Fieldwire, Basecamp and Microsoft Office suite will be required. Proficiency in a Revit / BIM Viewer will be required.Must be able to drive to project sites within a 60-mile radius of Brenham with personal vehicle, lift packages and items up to 30lbs, read various types of tape measures / scales, and provide personal cell phone for ordinary work-related communicationTypical Job Duties :
Participate as a Construction Administration team member, working under the supervision of a Licensed Architect or Client Manager, to complete the following tasks :
Provide meeting support to Principal Architect / Client ManagersScheduling and tracking of projects in construction phaseAssist with paperwork and submittal items for local jurisdictions, contractors and engineersArchive documents at project milestonesProcess Requests for Information (RFIs) from general contractors, and maintain logs for each projectProcess Material Submittals & Shop Drawings and maintain logs for each projectVisit construction sites on a regular basis for the purpose of observation, documenting progress via “Fieldwire” reports via tabletReview & Edit project manual / specifications for each project (word document files) as requestedPrepare Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASI) for minor changes in workGenerate project completion list or Punch List at the end of constructionReview and log General Contractor Close-out documents for each projectUse Basecamp (online project management software) to log and communicate with construction team members during constructionMaintain Construction Administration Action Log to track tasks and action needed from Architectural / Engineering TeamMaintain response times in keeping with specifications for construction-related mattersCommunicate using proper spelling and grammar with the project teamOverall compensation and benefits will be based on the experience of the applicant and are negotiable.
