Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring at least one year of experience and valid OK or compact RN licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Float Pool unit
  • Care for a variety of pediatric patients with health needs ranging from simple to complex
  • Night shift position with holiday and weekend requirements
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Responsible for providing competent nursing care, administering medications, and monitoring patients’ physiological data
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Engages with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
  • Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
  • Requires coverage for holidays and weekends as scheduled
  • Environmental exposure includes a varied pediatric patient population in a busy float pool setting

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active RN license from Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Good communication and organization skills needed
  • Ability to effectively address the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility
