Ability to personalize instruction and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education. Base contract rates start at $18 / hour, with increases for specialized subjects and higher rates for ongoing sessions with the same student (up to $40 / hour). Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Remote tutoring via our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. We handle logistics and payments; you invoice for your sessions. Find matches with students best suited to your style and expertise using our platform. 1-on-1 Online Tutoring — Personalized instruction to individual students. Instant Tutoring — Accept on-demand tutoring requests when you’re available.
Overview
The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform is seeking a High School Level American Literature Tutor to join our network of online tutors. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities
- Tutor 1-on-1 online sessions in High School Level American Literature.
- Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles to meet student needs.
- Engage students with clear explanations and a friendly teaching style.
- Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
- Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.
