Overview

Monro is hiring Automotive Technicians and Automotive General Service Technicians. Positions are available in our retail locations across Monro brands, with opportunities in field management and at our Store Support Center in Rochester, NY. Responsibilities

  • Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify required repairs
  • Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every customer vehicle
  • Assist in inventory management and general store duties
  • Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards and procedures
  • Test drive vehicles following company policy and local traffic laws
  • Maintain technical knowledge through required Monro University training
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and ability to operate customer vehicles for test drives
  • Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro's tool purchase program
  • For General Service Technician : ability to perform basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services per company standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

    • Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range : $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience
  • Flat rate : $25 - $38 per hour based on experience
