From your morning walk-through with operations to your afternoon ROI review, you’ll blend hands-on engineering with strategic project leadership. As a seasoned mechanical engineer in a process or chemical manufacturing setting, you’ll elevate equipment performance, strengthen reliability, and champion safe, compliant processes.

Compensation & Travel

  • Salary Range : $110,000 – $130,000 (based on experience, education, certifications, and skills)
  • Travel : Up to 25%

Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead cross-functional facility and manufacturing improvements—from scoping and budgeting to ROI modeling and execution.
  • Design, test, and iterate on new and existing mechanical systems to drive efficiency and uptime.
  • Partner with maintenance and production to troubleshoot mechanical, motion, and hydraulic issues; provide pragmatic fixes that stick.
  • Apply continuous improvement and root-cause analysis to eliminate chronic losses and prevent recurrence.
  • Verify products, systems, and processes meet all relevant codes and standards.
  • Build and support capital project documentation using TPM tools and the six-step management methodology.
  • Train teams on new equipment and processes so changes are adopted safely and effectively.
  • Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders with cadence-based updates.
  • What You BringRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years in industry, ideally within chemical or process manufacturing.
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, motion, and hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation devices, and PLCs for basic troubleshooting.
  • Proven track record delivering results with cross-functional partners.
  • Preferred

  • 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Navisworks).
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Background in chemical manufacturing.
