Position Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Commercial Construction Crew Lead to join our team. This is a working leadership role—you’ll be actively performing hands-on construction work while also leading and managing a crew of 2–5 team members on site. You’ll be responsible for making sure jobs are done safely, efficiently, and up to code, all while maintaining high standards and keeping communication clear with your team, clients, and supervisors.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, experienced across multiple trades, and takes pride in both their craft and their crew. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and taking charge to get the job done right, this is the job for you.

Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Trade Work
- Perform construction and repair tasks including :
- Framing and finish carpentry
- HVAC and refrigeration work
- Plumbing and light electrical
- Demolition, patching, and other general trades
- Ensure all work meets client expectations, code requirements, and safety standards
- Use personal tools and job-site equipment appropriately and responsibly
Crew Supervision
Lead and support a team of 2–5 crew members through daily tasksAssign duties, monitor progress, and step in to help wherever neededProvide on-the-job training and correct unsafe or improper workSubmit accurate timecards, daily updates, and job logsProject & Work Order Management
Execute client-issued work orders from start to finishRead and interpret construction plans, scopes of work, and site layoutsCoordinate job activities with project managers and regional leadershipTrack job progress and materials, keeping projects on schedule and on budgetHelp ensure each technician contributes to team revenue goals (e.g., $250K annually per tech)Client & Site Communication
Always Represent AlffCo in a professional manner on-siteCommunicate effectively with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendorsProvide regular updates on job progress, delays, and issuesMaintain a clean and organized job site and ensure post-job walk-throughs are successfulSafety & Compliance
Enforce job site safety standards for yourself and the crewMaintain an organized, hazard-free work areaFollow OSHA, local, and company safety protocolsReport incidents or unsafe conditions immediatelyOSHA 30 preferred________________________________________
Work Conditions
May require night shifts, early mornings, or weekend work based on project scheduleMust be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, kneel, bend, and work in all weather conditionsMust be comfortable working in fast-paced commercial environments such as restaurants, retail stores, banks, and industrial buildings________________________________________
Travel & Compensation
Up to 50% travel is required; some jobs may require extended overnight staysCompany pays for hotel, and per diem while traveling for workRequirements : Required
5+ years of experience in commercial construction or facility maintenanceStrong hands-on skills in at least two trades : HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or carpentryPrior experience leading small teams or managing job sitesAbility to read blueprints and scopes of workHave own tools for routine tasksComfortable using smartphone apps for timekeeping, work orders, and reportingValid driver’s licenseHigh school diploma or GEDFluent in English (spoken and written)Preferred
7+ years of construction experienceOSHA 30 certificationExperience in tenant improvements or fast-track remodelsFamiliarity with subcontractor coordination and inspectionsExperience meeting revenue targets in a service-based role
