Start your day excited to make a difference and end it knowing you did! We are seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse for our Operating Room at Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg. This PRN position offers you the flexibility to work as needed while making a significant impact on patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel.
  • Engage patients and families in care planning and discharge processes.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
  • Assist leadership in defining standards of excellence for patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
  • Help orient new staff members to the unit.
  • Act as a resource for hospital and departmental policies.
  • Contribute to a safe patient and staff environment through daily operational activities.

What You'll Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one year of experience in the Operating Room.
  • Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
  • BSN preferred.
  • AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
