General Summary
An Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputy Recruit is currently attending the Police Academy and learning laws and skills regarding various law enforcement duties. Deputy Recruits will learn how to prevent crime, protect life and property, enforce laws, preserve peace, render aid, write effective reports, issue citations and make criminal arrests. Utilizes current countywide and / or department specific software to complete assignments.
Required Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
b. Must be accepted and awaiting start date of a Police Academy training or its equivalent
(as required by MCOLES); OR
c. Must be currently attending a Police Academy training or its equivalent (as required by
MCOLES.)
NOTE : Must be eligible to be MCOLES licensed and hired as a Deputy II upon successful
completion of the Police Academy.
