Financial Analyst
The School of Medicine (SOM) Dean's Finance Office is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support the School of Medicine Research & Education Office (SOMREO). This position will play a key role in compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information consistent with the annual reporting cycle, as well as supporting ad-hoc reporting needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced data management and reporting capabilities, with experience working across multiple financial systems and integrating data from platforms such as Excel, Access, and general ledger systems. Performs and / or oversees strategic, broad-impact financial analysis, reporting, and systems development for a major, multi-unit operating entity of the university. Leads and coordinates the design and implementation of financial / accounting / budget systems and reports. May develop and deliver financial and business training programs, as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
MBA or equivalent in related field. Experience reporting complex data sets from multiple source data systems. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing reporting using advanced Excel and Access skills. Experience in evaluation, design, and the implementation of reporting processes and systems.
