Job Overview
As Charleston Sports Medicine expands, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in sports medicine and musculoskeletal care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using ultrasound technology, especially for guided injections. Experience with Orthobiologics and Shockwave / EMTT procedures is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided.
Objectives & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions for athletes and active individuals.
- Utilize x-rays and ultrasounds for diagnostic purposes and to guide therapeutic injections.
- Participate in the delivery of regenerative therapies, including Orthobiologics, EMTT, Shockwave, and Laser procedures, following clinic protocols and patient care standards.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on pain reduction, mobility restoration, and return-to-activity goals.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other members of the care team, both in our office and our associate office FitMed Partners, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license, with current credentials to practice in the state.Applicable National Board Certification (such as ANCC, PNCB, etc.Current BLS (must be issued by American Heart Association)3+ years of experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or musculoskeletal care settings.Proficiency in the use of x-rays and ultrasound technology for assessment and guided procedures.Knowledge of or willingness to train in Orthobiologics and Shockwave / EMTT therapies.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.Compensation
