Job Description :

Oversight of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution and Housing Community Standards Resolution Processes

Provides leadership and strategic oversight of Housing community standards, student conduct code and student honor code cases through all resolution process types.

Adjudicate individual student cases via administrative hearings and administrative reviews or refer to other conflict resolution processes as appropriate.

Oversee and manage investigations, charging caseloads, prioritization, and completion of resolutions and provide reports to departmental leadership on a regular basis.

Manages regular review of Housing Community Standards, including program / service alignment, assessment, revisions and enhancement

Ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and promotes consistency across processes.

Develops and delivers training and development in resolution processes, community standards, conflict coaching, and mediation.

Develop and implement policies and procedures in partnership with campus stakeholders, such as General Counsel and Student Life offices.

Collaborates with Housing & Residence Life, DSO Units, the Division of Student Life, as well as Campus and Community Partners ensuring alignment of university processes.

Analyze assessment data and benchmark trends to inform continuous program improvement.

Develop and propose improvements to processes, programs or services offered through the resolution processes.

Management of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution and Housing Community Standards Operations

Oversees records maintenance to ensure compliance with institutional policies, local / state / federal law, and reporting requirements; provides responsive information related to Florida Open Records requests

Manages case tracking, monitoring, and reporting systems for efficiency and accuracy

Manage Maxient databases for residents of concern

Develops systems and procedures that ensure operational effectiveness and compliance

Administrative Leadership & Coordination

Develops systematic approaches to enhance business processes and operations to align with strategic goals and objectives

Establishes performance goals, objectives, and measures for staff and services.

Provides leadership for policy interpretation, compliance, and enforcement within assigned areas.

Administer technology, information systems, and corresponding data utilized for housing student conduct processes

Develops reports and contributes to institutional data-drive decision-making

Assists the Director with strategic planning and development of long- and short-term goals

Develop reports, handle special projects, tasks, and other duties as assigned

Serve on Division of Student Life or University of Florida committees as needed

Serve as a member of the unit leadership team

Lead or assists with department wide projects

Expected Salary : $65,000-$70,000

Required Qualifications :

Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of experience.

Criminal background check is required.

Preferred :

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

Doctoral degree and four (4) years of appropriate experience; Master's degree and six (6) years of appropriate experience, or bachelors degree and eight (8) years of appropriate experience

Experience with implementing mediation, restorative practices, and other conflict resolution models

Experience with organizational conduct processes, including investigations

Demonstrated experience with crisis management

Familiarity with relevant state and federal laws / regulations that impact student conduct policies and processes

SKILLS :

Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and project management

Experience in a data-driven environment and / or data-driven decision-making

Demonstrated proficiency with computers and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Maxient, or Housing Management Systems)

Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written)

Demonstrated interpersonal skills

ABILITIES :

Proven ability to effectively lead and direct collaborative services in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders

Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented attitude

Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a multifaceted environment
