Location : Colorado Springs, CO 80907 (Colorado nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Room (ER)

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 7, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3x12 per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) – Required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification – Required

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification – Required

Willingness to float to other units or healthcare facilities within 60 miles as needed

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Assess and address patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs in the emergency room

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection

Advocate for patient safety, rights, and health in a fast-paced ER environment

Educate patients and families, assess learning needs, and evaluate teaching effectiveness

Deliver compassionate, relationship-based emergency care that respects patient preferences and values

Delegate appropriately to non-RN clinical support personnel according to policy

Act as a professional role model and mentor for new staff or nursing students

Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research activities

Maintain professional records and pursue ongoing nursing education to ensure competency

Float to other units or healthcare facilities as required
