Support Broker Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to provide part-time food preparation services for a male client with a disability. This role is crucial in supporting his health and well-being by adhering strictly to a specialized diet prescribed by his healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Meal Planning and Preparation : Develop and execute meals and snacks tailored to the client’s specific dietary guidelines.
- Food Handling and Storage : Ensure the safe handling, storage, and cooking of all food items to prevent cross-contamination and maintain nutritional integrity.
- Grocery Shopping : Conduct grocery shopping for the client, carefully selecting items that comply with his dietary restrictions.
- Kitchen Maintenance : Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment.
- Client Accommodations : Accommodate the client’s preferences within the constraints of his dietary plan.
- Meal Tracking and Communication : Track meals prepared and communicate any issues or supply needs to the client’s support team.
Requirements :
Background Check : Must pass a comprehensive background check through the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). This is a mandatory requirement for employment.Food Preparation Experience : Prior experience in food preparation, preferably in a setting with dietary restrictions (e.g., healthcare, personal chef, allergy-aware cooking).Food Safety and Sanitation Knowledge : Knowledge of and commitment to strict food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is preferred but not required).Attention to Detail : Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes with precision.Reliable Transportation : Reliable transportation for grocery shopping and commuting to the client’s residence.Compassion, Patience, and Respect : Compassion, patience, and a respectful understanding of working with an individual with a disability.Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.Logistics :
