Forklift Operator
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the flow of goods in our warehouse. You will handle receiving, shipping, and material handling tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and safe operations.
Responsibilities :
- Unload trucks, trailers, or other vehicles and move merchandise to the appropriate areas.
- Load finished goods from the production area to the appropriate trailers for shipment.
- Relocate material within the warehouse as necessary and move components from storage to production activities as needed.
- Prepare and fill out necessary documentation on all receiving forms, shipping documents, and production tallies.
- Regularly operate equipment including personal computers, bar code scanners, telephones, fax machines, and copiers.
- Handle the movement of pallets using site equipment such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp equipment.
- Use personal computers for producing bar-code labels, inventory information, and receiving & shipping paperwork.
- Operate bar-coding equipment to move and locate material within all areas of the plant.
- Operate hand or power-driven trucks for receiving, shipping, and production coverage activities.
- Operate scales and stretch wrap equipment necessary for distribution activities.
- Maintain department good housekeeping and safety standards.
- Follow applicable waste and scrap reduction and recycling guidelines.
- Complete Hazardous Waste Operation (HAZWOPER) training and certification if required.
- Adhere to the daily production schedule and prioritize job duties to ensure completion.
Essential Skills :
Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.Material handling expertise.Skill in operating sit-down forklifts.Experience with inventory management.Proficiency with RF scanners.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Understanding and accountability for following all Quality, GMP, and cleaning standards and guidelines.Ability to follow current work instruction and ensure adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related SOPs.Experience in performing Statistical Process Control Charting and taking corrective action.Commitment to practicing good housekeeping.Adherence to the ISO internal management system.Work Environment :
You will regularly work an average of 40 hours per week, with voluntary overtime opportunities available, including weekends. The role requires frequent standing and walking, lifting up to 50lbs, and physical activities such as reaching, bending, twisting, and turning. Climbing stairs and crossovers is common, and work is both indoors and occasionally outdoors with seasonably normal temperatures. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00 / yr.
