job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s degree in Physical Science or Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in Technical Writing for Residential PV or Energy solutions. Background in defining, reviewing online and print copy documentation. Good communication skills with customers, management, and internal teams. Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience or background with Residential PV and Battery Energy Solutions is desirable. Experience in managing release of documentation to market. Extensive experience working with cross‑functional teams. Strong professional integrity and sense of ownership of assignments. Self‑motivated and has a proven track record of reliability and work ethic. Good business acumen; strong sense of technical issues, customer service, and business result relationships. Flexible, team‑player, attention‑to‑detail, pro‑active, and responsible working attitudes.
Overview
Technical Writer role at Qcells North America.
Base Pay Range
$120,000.00 / yr - $170,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Pre‑Sales support to the residential sales team, providing application‑related documentation and assisting customers in project designs, commissioning and operations.
- Review, improve and release all technical documents, including datasheets, installation manuals, quick‑start guides, brochures and software UI / UX tools, and document mobile app step‑by‑step processes.
- Manage projects, report progress to cross‑functional teams and provide basic product training to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide product training and promote Qcells solutions to customers and the sales team; represent Qcells at trade shows and conferences.
- Stay up to date on PV / ESS technologies and industry trends by attending technical meetings and industry shows.
- Take assignments with a sense of urgency; deliver solutions and results promptly with a can‑do mentality, pro‑active working attitude, and hands‑on approach.

Physical Demands
Essential physical, mental and environmental requirements include standing 20% of time, sitting 70% of time, walking 10% of time, and handling up to 10 pounds for pulling, pushing, carrying and lifting. Typing, handling and reaching are performed frequently; turning, twisting, bending, crouching, balancing, climbing, crawling, kneeling are performed as specified.
