Overview
Restaurant Manager - Uncle Bucks at Bass Pro Shops. Leads the front-of-house staff and is responsible for all service aspects of the restaurant to create an unforgettable dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide world class service to guests (internal and external) at all times.
- Maintain close contact with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
- Plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
- Oversee training of employees and conduct staff meetings or daily huddles.
- Supervise and assist with all operations including guest service, reservations, dining area attention, bussing, resetting tables, bartending, menu development, large party reservations, line setup and restocking, cooking, expediting, food preparation, dishwashing, etc.
- Ensure alcoholic beverages are served within Missouri laws and regulations.
- Control labor to budget while maintaining high guest experience standards.
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory of front-of-house food, beverage, and supplies; coordinate transportation of goods as needed.
- Ensure health and safety procedures and regulations are followed.
- Prepare administrative / operational reports, timesheets, staffing reports, inventories, cash reports, etc.
- Manage opening and closing duties of dining outlets and bars.
- Resolve daily operational issues related to inventory, purchasing, personnel, equipment, etc.
- Process daily receipts and transactions; monitor food and service quality.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager and other company personnel to plan and coordinate services / activities and resolve problems.
- Attend staff meetings and stay informed on developments in the field.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications
Minimum : High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management.Manager food handler and beverage service certifications.2–3 years leadership experience; 2–3 years Food & Beverage experience preferred (fine dining experience for certain outlets).2–3 years resort leadership experience preferred.Knowledge of restaurant and room service operations, inventory control, scheduling, cash handling, and related administrative functions.Strong administrative, math, and supervisory skills; experience with budgeting preferred.Experience with commercial food service equipment.Adequate understanding of food safety regulations and alcohol laws; bar, wine and spirits knowledge preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Writing, verbal communication, and reading comprehension.Proficiency with basic computer software and tools.Analytical and critical thinking; problem solving and decision making.Guest-focused service and ability to build productive guest relationships.Strong numerical ability for calculations related to recipes and inventory.Adaptability, planning and organizing, teamwork, and high work standards.Effective planning, prioritization, and a sense of urgency to ensure guest satisfaction.Physical Requirements
