American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for full-time weekday shifts, requiring MQSA, ARRT, and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with Magnet recognition and Level I Trauma Center designationWork in the Center for Advanced Medicine building, rotating through the breast center and offsite screening locations as neededWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts, primarily between 7 : 00 AM and 4 : 30 PMNo regular weekend requirement, with possible occasional Saturday shiftsDuties include screening and diagnostic mammography on outpatient patients using Hologic 3D, digital mammography systemsHigh-paced work environment with adherence to isolation precautions and radiation safety protocolsEPIC charting is used and experience with EPIC is requiredFloating within scope to affiliate locations may be requiredResponsible for performing both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a high-volume environmentTechnologists support breast center operations and may rotate to offsite screening locations as neededBlack scrubs are requiredNo more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignmentPermanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to the facility as a travelerAllied travelers may remain up to 12 months before requiring a 6-month break in serviceAll standard travelers can stay up to 18 months, with a required 3-month break afterwardFacial hair must allow for appropriate fit testing for required PPE, or you must be willing to shave\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year experience as a Mammography TechnologistCurrent ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certification requiredBLS certification requiredMQSA qualified and in compliance with continuing education requirements for mammographyProficient in 3D mammography, diagnostic and digital mammograms, and Hologic 3D systemsExperience with outpatient mammography settings requiredEPIC charting experience requiredMust live outside a 75-mile radius from the facilityNo first-time travelers acceptedLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
