This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will join our Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) team with an emphasis in Flight Controls. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the development of control laws and flight software for spacecraft from Earth to the Moon. You will also prototype algorithms, conduct trade studies for control architectures, and perform linear stability analyses using classical and modern approaches. Expect to collaborate closely with other subsystems and spacecraft systems engineers to support the development of subsystem boundaries, interfaces, and technical performance measures. In this capacity, you will be responsible for exemplifying best practices, balanced technical judgment, and superior work ethic. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program.

Responsibilities

• Develop control laws and flight software for GN&C applications related to space vehicles from Earth to the Moon.
• Prototype algorithms and conduct trade studies for control architectures.
• Perform linear stability analyses using classical and modern approaches.
• Collaborate with subsystems and spacecraft systems engineers to define subsystem boundaries, interfaces, and technical performance measures.
• Uphold best practices, balanced technical judgment, and a strong work ethic; work with NASA and national partners on the HLS SLD program.

CA applicants is $152,235.00-$213,127.95; CO applicants is $139,979.00-$195,969.90; WA applicants is $152,235.00-$213,127.95
