Embedded Software Engineer

CACI is currently seeking an experienced software engineer with a background working with embedded processors and operating systems to join our Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY!

We specialize in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' requirements. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic / mechanical design, embedded application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux software applications for custom hardware platforms
• Develop and debug device drivers, and applications
• Optimize system performance, memory usage, and boot times
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration efforts
• Maintain documentation and ensure software quality through best development practices

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is : $58,000-$115,900
