Summary / Objective

Produce machined product / parts in accordance with quality and production standard work requirements, customer specifications, and company safety standards. This position includes Machines Trainees and Interns.

Essential Functions

• Operate one machine (post-setup) as specified by Supervision.
• Follow all specifications provided in the Job Order package. (Traveler, blueprint, PQR etc.)
• Perform “machine start-up” activities as required / specified.
• Perform “machine maintenance” checks as required / specified.
• Performs 5S and Safety checks as required / specified.
• Manually load stock into machine feeding mechanism.
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using preset gauges, micrometers, or dial indicators as required by PQR.
• Make operating adjustments with machine controls & tool settings to meet tolerances.
• Retrieve and enter job / part number and labor data into a computer and may record manually various data and measures for department and company performance records. (OEE, hour by hour board etc.)
• Replace worn tooling, bolts, and nuts as needed.
• May operate bench grinder or drill press for chamfering and deburring.
• Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements.
