Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation and service, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and bussing tables.
- Support dietary staff with organizing food supplies and managing inventory.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing dietary concerns or preferences.
- Participate in ongoing training on food handling, safety practices, and dietary requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in food service, culinary, or healthcare dietary roles preferred.Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is an asset.Knowledge of food preparation techniques, meal planning, and dietetics principles.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.Hold an active Food Handlers Certificate or higherHigh School Diploma or EquivalentActive Drivers License and over 21 to be added to company insurance.Benefits
