Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation and service, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and bussing tables.
  • Support dietary staff with organizing food supplies and managing inventory.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing dietary concerns or preferences.
  • Participate in ongoing training on food handling, safety practices, and dietary requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in food service, culinary, or healthcare dietary roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is an asset.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, meal planning, and dietetics principles.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Hold an active Food Handlers Certificate or higher
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Active Drivers License and over 21 to be added to company insurance.
