The Staff Accountant I will reconcile accounts weekly, process sales and cash activity daily, process invoices / payments to vendors, review and post inventory counts, prepare documentation for auditors, and perform other day-to-day accounting tasks in support of the company’s goals and objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates new vendors as necessary adhering to departmental guidelines for documentation
- Reviews and verifies payments terms, vendor mailing address, purchase account coding and processes invoices daily for multiple restaurant locations
- Processes weekly check runs each Friday and records manual payments weekly for multiple restaurant locations
- Review vendor AP statements weekly and requests copies of any missing invoices
- Records general ledger entries for daily cash, credit card and sales transactions at multiple restaurant locations
- Performs balance sheet reconciliations for cash and credit card related accounts and ensures that cash and credit card activity is recorded and posted to the proper general ledger accounts each week
- Sends weekly and monthly sales reports to brand license locations as required by each license agreement
- Processes monthly sales tax returns for City and State governments
- Assists in providing documentation and support for the annual audit
- Reviews inventory counts and records updated inventory balances each month for multiple restaurant locations
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum 1 year Accounting experience requiredProficient user of Microsoft Office programs and intermediate user of ExcelWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal office environment with standard lighting and average noise levels. May require occasional weekend or holiday work. Prolonged periods sitting at desk working on a computer. Regular / repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate computer components (e.g., keyboard, mouse, etc.). Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, bend, reach, and squat.

Salary Range : $60,000 - 70,000
