We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead a small inpatient pharmacy team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with on-call responsibilities during closures. PRN pharmacists support after-hours call.

Schedule & Hours :

  • Core hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM
  • On-call coverage required when pharmacy is closed (weekends); PRN staff available for backup
  • Pharmacy operations align with local hospital rehab schedule

Work Environment :

  • One pharmacist-manager and one full-time technician onsite
  • After-hours remote order entry via third-party system
  • Automation through Pyxis system; limited IV compounding required
  • No chemotherapy; 340B experience not needed

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Act as PIC, managing daily pharmacy operations and staffing
  • Supervise technician and PRN workflows
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in medication use, storage, and recordkeeping
  • Oversee Pyxis automation stocking and functionality
  • Perform limited IV compounding safely and in compliance with SOPs
  • Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with clinical teams
  • Provide after-hours clinical support as needed via remote order entry
  • Coordinate administrative tasks : inventory control, budget oversight, reporting, scheduling

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Active state pharmacist license (WI preferred for this assignment)
  • Prior managerial or lead pharmacy experience in hospital or LTC setting
  • Familiarity with Pyxis or similar automation systems
  • Comfort with IV compounding in a low-chemo environment
  • On-call readiness
