Hotel Operations Specialist

We are experiencing rapid growth in the short-term rental industry and are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position plays a key role in ensuring that our properties maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction.

Reports to : Local Area Manager (with Vendor Ops partnership)

Schedule : Rotating based on activity 10 : 30am - 7 : 00pm Location : Palm Springs Hotels (The Monkey Tree, The Marley, El Cid, Blackhaus and The Wesley)

Role Summary

Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations (vendor scheduling / quality, supplies) and keep guest-ready public spaces by coordinating cleans, inspecting quality, supporting guest requests, and stepping in on tasks when needed. This role will support both housekeeping operations with vendors and when necessary, hands-on common area cleaning.

Responsibilities

Scheduling Vendors & Coordination

  • Work with the Housekeeping Operations Team to schedule and dispatch vendors in proprietary software; track completion and resolve exceptions
  • Provide feedback / coaching to vendors; ensure supply and consumable availability
  • Support escalated guest concerns; collaborate with local / HQ partners
  • Create Maintenance Tickets as needed based on in unit inspections

Public Area Cleaning & Housekeeping Support

  • Rotational public area / common area cleaning within the Hotels, as needed
  • Deliver linens / amenities to rooms or storage; stage supplies; support event setup / breakdown; maintain par levels for guest requests
  • Perform housekeeping or light maintenance tasks as needed; conduct daily property walkthroughs and assign ad-hoc tasks
  • Guest Interaction & Hosting

  • Greet and assist guests in public areas; monitor team comms and support in-stay requests
  • Monitor Guest Communications Platforms as needed to support local team operations
  • Housekeeping Operations

  • Conduct unit inspections and vacant-room walkthroughs and audit quality checklists
  • Report maintenance items and guest damages; ensure spaces remain in good condition
  • Coordinate monthly on property inventory, inclusive of linen and consumable items stored on site
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve processes; perform other projects / duties as assigned
