Position Description
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team at the National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) . In this role, you will be essential in supporting events and ensuring the safety and security of all guests at the facilities. You will also assist in the visitor reception area by welcoming guests and providing them with an orientation to the NRHC.
As a member of the Guard / Visitor Relations team, your responsibilities will include supporting NRHC programs and events, monitoring the indoor and outdoor portions of the facility to ensure a safe environment for guests and providing support to staff during daily programming, special events, and facility rentals.

About the Department and / or College
The National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC), located north of the Texas Tech University campus on 4th St, is a 27.5 acre museum and historical park with 48 ranching structures and objects dating to the early 19th Century. In addition to the historical park, NRHC has 38 life-size bronze outdoor art pieces and a 44,000 square foot museum building with six galleries featuring permanent, as well as temporary exhibits of art, photography and artifacts that capture historical and contemporary Western life. A dynamic institution that tells ranching's story, NRHC also provides a range of educational programs for children, youth and adults focusing on pioneer history, western culture, natural resource management and other current and historical ranching subjects.

Required Qualifications
Proficiency in written and mathematical processes as may be reflected by the completion of the tenth grade plus one year of security, customer service, public relations or related experience.
