Description :

Clinical review and auto offer.

Position in a 26-bed acute care unit with a diverse patient population.

Patient population primarily comprises general surgery and trauma patients.

Post-surgical patients make up 90% of the unit with the remaining 10% having medical diagnoses.

All rooms are capable of cardiac monitoring, capnography, and continuous pulse oximetry.

Position requires working nights, with 36 or 48 hours scheduled.

Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.

Staff must work every other weekend and two out of three winter holidays.

Can approve up to 40 hours for time off.

Candidates must adhere to float policies.

Previous charge experience is required.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4, may occasionally be 1 : 5.

Experience with charting systems is required, specifically with Epic.

Skills required include blood product administration, chest tube management, IV care, and wound care.

Continuous support from interdisciplinary teams is available.

Unit also houses telemetry monitoring.

Orientation may include non-billable modules.
