Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, providing comprehensive accounting services, valuable advisory support, and operational solutions that enhance business efficiency. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, and gaining exposure to client relationship and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Accounting

  • Record transactions from banks and / or other third-party applications with knowledge of client operations
  • Code clients vendor invoices for payment and to optimize cash flow
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial statement accounts
  • Lead the onboarding and accounting software setup for new clients

Financial Reporting

  • Prepares, understands and reviews financial statements
  • Understand and explain accounting issues, financial impacts, and other operational challenges in a variety of industries we serve
  • Advisory and Consulting

  • Identify opportunities for clients to optimize their financial and operational performance with senior members of the team
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Ability to prepare and review sales tax, payroll tax, and property tax returns
  • Client Relationship Management

  • Develop strong client relationships, offering tailored solutions to meet each clients unique needs with senior members of the team
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide status updates, answer inquiries, and resolve issues
  • Serve as point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services
  • Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and maintain client relationship
  • Participate in industry-specific niche meeting and marketing activities to support the firms business development efforts
  • Professional Development

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, trends and regulatory changes to provide clients with timely and relevant insights
  • Monitor and maintain current knowledge of software developments and emerging technologies
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Extensive knowledge and advanced skill in accounting software and tools (required)
  • QuickBooks Online

  • Bill
  • Excel
  • Microsoft products
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • 3+ years of CPA firm experience or industry accounting experience (preferred)
  • CPA, CMA or CPA / CMA candidate (preferred)
  • Ability to quickly learn new accounting software and tools
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple clients and deadlines, and maintain high-quality work with low error rates
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in specialized industries (construction, real estate, non-profits, and professional services)
  • Working Conditions & Benefits :

  • Business hours Monday-Friday with core hours from 10 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods
