Position Summary :

We are seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager to join our Power Team in Akron, OH, Columbus, OH, or Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves leading distribution line design projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high-quality, innovative designs that support safe communities.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Equivalent experience of 15+ years in electric utility without a degree.
• 7+ years of experience in distribution line design.
• 3+ years of project management experience in distribution line projects (preferred).
• Successful completion of the PE Exam (preferred).
• Strong understanding of safety codes, utility standards, and regulations (NESC, ASCE, IEEE).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Distribution Design Studio, SPIDACalc, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and O-Calc (preferred).
• Experience mentoring engineers and fostering team development.
• Leadership skills as a technical expert and servant leader.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
• Experience in developing project scope, schedule, and budgets.
