Our client, a well known name in the beauty space is seeking a mid-level packaging designer for a freelance opportunity (40 hours a week) with potential to go fulltime for the right person. This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities : Packaging Design
- Design and develop primary and secondary packaging for new and existing skincare products (tubes, bottles, cartons, labels, kits, etc.)
- Create 2D renderings for new products to help gain approvals
- Has strong understanding for print processes and materials
- Partner with mechanical production artist and review their work
- Collaborate with suppliers and print vendors to ensure vision is met
- Maintain and evolve packaging guidelines and templates in line with brand standards
- Ensure packaging complies with regulatory, legal, and sustainability requirements
Digital & Miscellaneous Design
Design digital assets including banners and PDP graphics.Support the creative team with other ad hoc design projects as neededPhotoshop imagery as needed to work best within layouts.Asset Management & Production Support
Maintain organized design files, templates, and digital asset librariesHandle internal and external file and image requests, ensuring correct usage and qualityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver assets on timeEnsure all visual assets meet brand standards and technical requirements (print and digital)Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in packaging design, preferably in the skincare, beauty, or consumer goods industriesBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related fieldStrong portfolio demonstrating excellence in typography, and layout designProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Familiarity with print production, color management, and packaging materialsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skillsPassion for design, beauty, and wellness industriesSend your portfolio and resume today!
