Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an urgent care locum assignment in Palm Springs, California. This short-term coverage need offers full-day shifts, a supportive care team, and the opportunity to provide fast-paced, high-quality care in a well-established outpatient setting.

Assignment Highlights

Location : Palm Springs, CA

Dates Needed :

October 9 : 8 : 00 am – 8 : 00 pm

October 10 : 8 : 00 am – 8 : 00 pm

October 11 : 9 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm

Contract Type : Locum Tenens – Urgent Care

Schedule : Full-day coverage, no overnight call

Practice Environment

Busy outpatient urgent care serving both adults and pediatrics (primarily adults)

Wide range of services including physical exams, labs, imaging review, wound care, sutures, IV fluids, and minor procedures

Emphasis on efficiency and patient satisfaction with strong onsite support staff

Modern EMR and diagnostic infrastructure

Scope of Practice

Diagnose and manage a variety of urgent care conditions

Perform minor office-based procedures and wound care

Provide work, school, and sports physicals

Order and interpret labs and imaging as needed

Deliver timely, patient-focused care in a walk-in setting

Candidate Requirements

Active California NP license

Board Certification required (FNP, AGNP, etc.)

Urgent care, family medicine, or ER experience preferred

BLS / ACLS certifications preferred

Strong communication and ability to work independently in a busy clinic
